Hi
Have read the forums on AS Secur-IT, Graham White Solicitors and Roxburghe with interest. I have a similar story to most and have received the full complement of letters.
One thing I would be interested to know from other "victims" is whether you have had phone calls? Roxburghe have called me about 5 times over the past 2 weeks. I just answer hello, they ask for me, I ask who's calling, they say Roxburghe, I say he doesn't live here and put the phone down. I am just wondering how to stop them calling. I am already registered with tps and on one call told them if they continue to call this number I will complain to the authorities, but I still get the calls.
Anyone having the same problem?
Letters are amusing, but calls are very annoying.

I may be wrong but I don't think TPS covers this type of call as it is a 'ligitmate call' please note inverted commas before flaming me.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0

tell them this,, i deny the debt,,i deny the debt,,,repeat this,, then tell them to stop harassing you and you will take action if they dont,, more importantly do not engage in dialogue,, they are a joke full stop,,or simply carry on doing what you are doing,, but they may harass you for some time,,good luck.0

Tell them the debt is denied, and they must now refer it back to their client. Any further contact from them will constitute harassment and that you will take appropriate action including a formal complaint to the CSA (Credit Services Agency, of which Roxburghe's are a member and need to comply with the code of practice which states they must back off once you deny the debt).
DO NOT get drawn onto a conversation with them, end the call.Je Suis Cecil.0 -
Tell them to stick their demands where the sun don't shine.
They'll just mark your account as 'abusive' and won't be in a hurry to call again.0 -
Sorry you've had them bothering you, they are annoying bunch of twonks.
The way I'd probably handle it is one of the following;
1) Tell them they have the wrong number (done this a couple of times when I've had annoying phonecalls to my mobile, I guess it could work for a landline too if you are ex-directory?). I usually let them call a few times, tell them I don't know the person they are after, and then on the 3rd call get angry and ask them to stop calling me and alter their records appropriately.
2) Tell them you deny the debt and hang up. This seems to be the favoured option and seems like a reasonable choice.
3) Tell them to hold whilst you get the person, then just leave the phone off the hook/on loudspeaker and carry on with whatever you're doing. Their whole operation is a f*****g joke anyway so why not join in the fun? Let them waste as much time and money as they want waiting around on the end of a line.
Whichever way you go about it I hope the clear off for you soon.0 -
Tell them you don't owe them anything but are keeping a record of their calls (which you should be!) so that you can present them as evidence when you sue them for harassment.
Or just tell them to eff off? Why does anyone think they need to be polite to these intrusive jerk-offs?
BTW delete your post on the other thread now you have started your own.0 -
Unfortunately, the TPS doesn't cover this kind of call. However, that's no reason not to mention them. Given their legal skills, GW probably think the TPS does cover their calls. Not that they'd care anyway.
That's reminded me. It's time to make another call to the accident claim parasites who made an automated call to me once ages ago, demanding that they take me off their database. They probably have, as I haven't had another call, but they won't know that until they've checked their database - again. Aren't "free" bundled 'phone calls a wonderful development? The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -

this is a call centre that handles the calls for them, they have a cut off for abusive "CUSTOMERS" that will remove your number from the system.
So fire away...Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
