    The same happened when A&L migrated to the Santander sort codes, new sort codes were issued. I had no problems with DDs and transfers so the information was out there but many did and it was the fault of other banks / providers for not updating their systems with the new codes.

    Sadly bank staff seem only to be taught sales techniques. Back office systems are pretty much a mystery to most of them.
