Is there anything they can do which will cause issues for me if I allow them to use my wireless connection for going online with XBox360 ? I am pressuming any paid subscritpions etc would have to be ordered, and could not be charged to my phone line via router, and they wouldn't be able to download virus to my pc via the router.
Any help appreciated.

One day I might be more organised...........

only problem is that it will use your bandwidth up, if you are on a 1GB usage it may cause problems if they are a big gamer !!Ex forum ambassador

Subscriptions are paid to Xbox for the on-line account when setting up by credit/debit card or pre-payment card. Each account can be accessed (recovered) on any machine so it will not cost you anything, just your mate when setting up the account. Only issue, as Browntoa said, is your available bandwidth will be shared so may slow down your PC connection when Xbox being used...0

There is zero risk with regards to viruses

As people have said it will slow down your connection and if you have a download limit on your isp that is gonna be used up fairly fast

Use homeplug, much more reliable!!
Get a router with QoS, this way you can limit how much of the available bandwidth he uses (which is different to the amount of traffic you're allowed each month)

Is your wireless network secured with WPA-PSK encryption? If not you have other security issues to worry about. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
