YippeeFile,go alone or via a company

;) My friends have gone on and on at us to hit the companies, and we get about 5 calls a day from ppi companies.. it goes back to a time when we owed 30k in loans and credit cards, both had professional jobs etc.. then we hit disabilities..

This goes back at least 15 years with northern rock with ppi and mefa, then the credit cards and loans.. it was one of the most unhappiest times of our lives, we had to get rid of the house before we lost it, we thought we had good ppi on the mortgage and at the time they offered us 33 a month when we paying over 35 a month for a 500 quid mortgage.. we never claimed..

We have nearly paid back every penny and this year we will be straight, because we sold our house we went to rent and waited till we got back on the ladder and we have never defaulted and just bought a house that no matter what we could afford..

But their was two credit card companies who i would like to see rot in hell, sorry but they caused me to have breakdown.. mbna and rbs credit cards, one took us to court in and mbna and i vowed these would be the last to be paid off..

they have been paid off, both had ppi on and didnt pay out for a new medical condition, my hubby had psorasis which never stopped him from working but osteoarthritis did and they refused to pay out.. now i dont have the account numbers for them but i have the ccj form for them but they wont accept it..

i have gone through my file today and pulled out at least 18 companies credit cards and loans and mortgages, many with ppi on.. and realise wow did we really have all this..

But i still not sure what forms to use to put i claim for credit card and one for loans.. and mortage..

we contacted halifax re meaf and they are dealing and also with the loan but have a funny feeling we didnt have ppi on that but they said they will look into it..

i have several credit cards with ppi on which we never knew until i looked into today..

But i am also thinking ok i know u have to pay 30 percent to companies but today i have been in one hell of a mood as i visited our dark past with debt looking into everything we had.. hadnt been in those files for years... so am contemplating is it worth getting all grrrrrrrrr at them again..

must admit would love to target rbs and mbna all the debts went to collection agencies, these are now paid off.. but as my name says they treated us like dirt and revenge is a dish best served sweet..

one of them asked me today why are you claiming, i just said because i wasnt aware we had it and wasnt needed or wanted.. when really i wanted to say because i can you bleep bleep:p

DO NOT use claims companies. IT IS SO MUCH SWEETER when you do it yourself and keep any redress all to yourself. You could SAR them to get as much info as possible if they have been within the last 6 years. It costs £10 per bank but might show up account numbers. You could try a free trial credit check this might give you the last 4 digits of accounts which is sometimes enough ;)
