other names for PPI

I have a loan and an car loan, neither of them say PPI is direct terms. The loan is a BOS loan and has "insurance loan" and the car loan has "Guaranteed payment plans". Are the PPI? or something completely different?

sounds like a life insurance to me. just when the word 'gaurantee' is used in that context its refers to paying the loan off.0
