£3 today from my survey landed in my account. Nearly all my ebayers have paid from yesterday's auctions so looking at least £80
will add once it hits my account. My iPad arrived today that I bought on eBay for £212, I've downloaded the app from ipsos for a survey so that's £50 on its way next month
goodie.

Hi moneyspider.....sorry to read of your probs with DD.
I have the same issue, but from the other side of the fence.
My S&H would really prefer to live with me [his Dad]...rather than at Mum's.
However, it's not that he doesn't want to see Mum, it's just that he prefers to sleep at mine!
[Mum is 'primary carer]...........................
We all get along very well, however, I was acutely aware that S&H's wishes were a little bit our fault really.....when we split up, we told him that he could go to/be with whoever he wants...his choice!
Big mistake...he took that literally! [Being on the autistic spectrum, I suppose it was predictable?]
I have made a point of showing him that, with choice, comes responsibility.
And that, even though he has to exercise choices, he also has to realise that, it's not about Mum and Dad sharing him between us.....but about him sharing himself between his Mum and Dad....responsibly!
So now [mainly during term-time] he spends 3 nights a week with one, and 4 with the other, swapping around on alternate weeks [I have him weekends, 3 nights....and an extra night on alternate weeks....thank heavens for free phone calls after 6!]..He gets delivered to Mum's in the mornings, for the taxi to school.
We're working together, and it appears to work well, but involves commitment-and-a-half! [we're 15 miles apart, but I work near to his Mum's]
My XOH's biggest complaint was about how she felt increasingly like 'a child minder'..... because he wanted to 'sleep at mine', but spend the day at Mum's....when I was working!
We now have an established routine...but we use staying at mine as the 'treat' factor.....[some treat...he spent over 220 nights at mine last year!]
I suppose, for the kids, a broken family can just as easily be an 'extended' family?
Make sure they know we love 'em, though....?
The shock will pass tho'.......keep smiling! No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......0 -
Thanks everyone for the replies to the troubles im having with my eldest.
Although her Dad does love her and my other Daughter very much, This situation as come about simply because my Ex has been taken off Sickness benefits and is getting pressure from the Jobcentre to get a job, For those who dont know JSA is being withdrawn for all manner of reasons at the moment, most of this came about because he's been under investigation (AGAIN!?). He thinks that by having a child to claim for will ease the pressure from the JC and he wont be forced to work in a job he doesn't want ect.
There is more to this than i willing to put on an open forum
This is the Ultimate reason he wants her there i believe
Of course he is saying this isn't the case.
I feel its out of my hands, she wants to 'live' with her dad, and if i were to put up a fight he would simply use legal aid to get solicitors involved, we can't afford a legal battle, especially when she wants to be there:(
She now offically lives at her DadsBuild your own dreams ~ or someone will hire you to help build theirs

Hey all - I wrote a long and massively ranty / self indulgent grump fest message so probably just as well it logged me out and I couldn't post it. Haven't been having the best week - lots of pressures and stresses etc (don't we all) and I just felt like sharing! I bought myself a brownie though (The Cupcake Company on Ken Church Street in London, near Notting Hill Gate - TO DIE FOR!) so am feeling a little better. Chocolate makes me happy
A few bits and bobs (shopping savings / P1n3c0n3) but as with all other savings this month, I'm netting them off against my mother's spend on me.
Hope everyone less grumpy than me£10 a day July 2012 £0 / £290 £10 a day May 2012 £157.08 / £310 £10 a day April 2012 £406.11 / £300 £10 a Day March 2012 £327.59 / £310 £10 a Day Feb 2012 £297.07 / £290 £10 a Day Jan 2012 £390 / £310 :j0 -

THEMONEYSPIDER, your ex obviously doesn't know much about the rules if he thinks having your daughter live with him will stop him applying for any old job.
Last year they started clamping down on single parents, saying if your child attended school, ie infant school, first school, etc, you could go to work and go to to work you must. They threatened to stop people's benefits if they didn't take work/look for work.
So he might not get off as easily as he thinks. Even tax credits are being reduced.....
Hang in there hun, your daughter will be back living with you soon xx0 -
saribeth, had a look, will PM you.0

had the day from hell, been told my job role is moving, I will work somewhere else, they will help with nursery costs though, as they want an extra day from me. And I got shouted at, as if it was my idea, my choice... feel like I should be insulted, but to be honest, cannot be bothered.
Friend is bugging me as was trying to help her yesterday, and I was not in the mood for text saying,,"no reply?" and then she asked me to copy her status from facebook to something else... and I thought, no, I am working, I don't have time for this, and I haven't even heard a thank you for trying to help me. I don't mind helping, but I do like to hear the word thank you.
I feel so taken for granted sometimes. And in laws descending Friday, house is no state for them, DS was ill last night, and hope he is better this week as we use the spare room to sleep in, and when in laws are here, there will be no spare room.
sigh. roll on tomorrow.
and no, have no drink in the house, except semi skimmed milk which I don't like.0
