First chance to pop in here for a few days. I don't know if anyone remembers but I am pregnant with baby #8 (my partners first though) At 16 weeks we went for a private gender scan and were told we were having a boy, went for a 20 week scan at the hospital on friday and were told it's a girl!! Scan company gave us a rescan on saturday morning and confirmed it is indeed a girl!! Luckily we hadn't bought any of the big items only a few clothes off ebay which I am selling on again. I want to ask the scan company for a refund but my dp says no as they did give us the second scan for free, but surely they should have done that anyway and seen as the reason we paid for the scan in the first place was to find out the scan I think we should be refunded!!

Anyway £10.78 in ebay sales to add and have another 13 items finishing later.
    Next- £486.25 Barclaycard £600
    October make £10 a day - £183.90/155 :j

OMG! What a shock for you! :( Definitely go for a refund! I'm pretty shocked that they didn't offer it in the first place - you paid for it so you would know at 16 weeks, you wouldn't have bothered at 20 weeks as you could get it free at the hospital, so the second scan is irrelevant. On top of that, you also have the added expense of reselling clothes that you had bought based on the results of the first scan! I imagine they'd lose a lot of custom if it went public, so I doubt that they would refuse you a refund :)

Huge "YAY!" to all those receiving tax refunds or backdated owed payments. Lovely to receive a little income boost.

Happy belated birthday to those who have been celebrating recently too. :D

Just popped on to add £5.04 from quidco and £12.88 made on the grand national that has just paid into my account. Also sold 2 items on ebay for a total of £7.99 but need to work out fee's etc so will add total made a bit later. One of the items is a fairly heavy book that I sold for £1 but stupidly I forgot to change the posting charge as was listing a few things at the time so I think I will end up making a loss on that item - duh!

Got a dress on Ebay at the moment with 41 watchers! That should hopefully mean that the blinking thing will sell!! (but who knows!).

    Hi

Just £8.68 from 4 eb*y items so total for April is now £48.86.
Bit peeved that S*insburys have stopped giving me 50p through TCB for each grocery shop - do they only give you so many?

Hope everybody is having a good month.

I am new here and can't understand how to earn? But i want to earn £10 per day? can anyone guide me:EasterBun

Have a look on page 1 of this thread for lots of hints and tips. It can be a lot to take in to start with but keep reading over it and read other posts and you pick up lots of ideas.

For me I opened a separate savings account and physically move the money earned into that account so I can see it grow and it is away from my regular spending etc. I started by using ebay to sell unwanted items at home, using cashback sites for any online shopping I was doing (check out quidco and topcashback), I made my own lunch for work rather than buying sandwiches and transferred the money saved. I also counted money saved if I paid for items with nectar points or boots advantage points etc (some count savings from using coupons).

Once I got into the swing of it a bit more I then realised that you can earn free vouchers for amazon or paypal by using sites such as swagbucks or superpoints and I started to do that. Each time I collected a £5 amazon voucher I included that in the total. Some earn a lot doing that but I only spend 5 minutes a day on it and manage to cash out £5 voucher a month, which does not sound much but will be £60 by Christmas and will help. A few on here earn vouchers / cash by signing up to survey sites and completing those. Some earn via blogging and blog commenting - but I personally don't do that as don't have the time.

People count earnings from overtime, second jobs, car boot sales, selling old gold / broken jewellery, saving coins / loose change - the list goes on!

What I have discovered is £3 here and £6 there may now sound much but when you but it all together over the course of a month it really does start to add up!! :)

Fran there is £10 cash back at quidco and £10 off a £50 shop at tesco for 'new' ;) customers so £50 shop for £30. Also look on grabbit board for this as there is a link to a freebie and MOC.
    £20k in 2023 = £2718 £2023 in 2023 = £196.41 Grocery challenge £250= £195.80 **MONEY MAKES ME HAPPY**

Nat, are you still doing the calls? You haven't mentioned it for a while.

I still keep meaning to look at it but with a second and third job and trying to set up an Etsy shop I'm struggling for time :o
