I have been with zopa now for about 4 or 5 years i think and have not had anyone defaulting at all - i have had a few late payments but zopa chase that up for lenders so it hasn't been a problem. I started out with £10 in the account and i now have about £600. I have put money in and taken money out over the years but i am currently planning on trying to get to £1000 in there and letting it tick over at that for a while.

Personally i find it very good and interesting as well - you do need to understand what you are doing and the risks involved. I only lend out £10 to any one person so the risk for me is minimised by doing that. I think the last time i checked i have been getting an average of 8% interest on my money in there which in my opinion is much better than any savings account i know of at the minute.

I did a write up a while ago on zopa for my blog which might be of interest to anyone considering using it - i did a step by step how to as far as i remember lol!

Can someone point me in the right direction of where to find info on PPI. Was talking about it last night with friends and OH has finally agreed to have another look to see if we have any claims.

I found the info on the site very good - i opted for downloading the ppi claim form which is on the main site info bit i think and posting it off - worth reading the guidance that comes with that, other than that my advice is to make sure you know why you think it was mis sold - its not enough to just apply for it back if you know what i mean - if you want to know what i wrote on mine just shout :) xx

Urgh why are people on ebay so nasty sometimes? Had a message this morning from a buyer saying they had received their item and it had a big rip in it. Now obviously I hadn't noticed it or I wouldn't have listed it in the first place or I would have put it in the listing at least. Before I can send a reply this person has left negative feedback for me (their score is 10 and mine 444 with only 1 neg in 12 months) and then sent me a message saying give me the money back and I will change my feedback  I have just sent a polite message back stating I will refund in full once I have the item back in my possession but that I am sorry they felt the need to leave me with neg feedback before I had chance to respond! Sometimes I wonder if it's all worth the hassle :(

  • Just transferred an extra £64.86 to my savings :) I won't update my signature though as I will offset against the money I am declaring for the shopping that my mother did for me!

I've had to buy another couple of things for myself since then so the CC has had a bit of a battering (though I am returning some things tomorrow). I've got a job interview tomorrow so need some actual 'work' clothes as my current job has a casual dress policy.
