Hi, just wondering if anyone knows the stats on which is better to enter by. if a competition offers the options on answering by phone or answering by text or by online or by postcard in the same competition. Which one has the best chance of winning?
I would have assumed it should be an equal chance no matter what your chosen method of entry.
Posting entries is not really a cheaper/free option these days. With the cost of stamps and postcards it is almost on a par if not more expensive than texting (depending on the comp).
Personally I never enter phone only comps. I am not convinced on those as I think mistakes can be made on the other end. I mean how do they transcribe phone entries - is it voice detection software or a human playing back each message? Either way there is too much chance for error and the times I have been 'cut off' mid phone number/address or something as I have gone out the allocated time period for talking just frustrates me.
I guess texting is the best way to guarantee your entry has arrived with the correct information. You control the data sent and often receive a confirmation text. With postcards once they have been posted you just have to trust in the postal system and the human at the other end who handles this entry method.
Basically I wouldn't sweat the details of which method to use. Do what ever you feel comfortable with. I love posting entries, I just love the thought of sending out all those postcards and never knowing which (if any) is going to his the jackpot. Texting is effective but I find it quite clinical. To me, posting is like getting married in church and texting like going to the registry office - end result the same, the journey just different :rotfl::j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
