Make sure you include your name and age, a parent / guardian name, address and daytime telephone number, and make sure a parent / guardian signs the entry to let us know they are happy for you to get involved.

TERMS: 1. To enter the Competition, you must live in the UK or Ireland and be aged between 6 and 13 years of age on 31/07/2012. You must ask your parent or guardian for permission to enter into the Competition. All entries must include your name, address and age, along with the name and day time telephone number of your parent or guardian. 2. The Competition is not open to employees of Dunhills (Pontefract) Plc or any of its subsidiary or affiliated companies, or members of their immediate families, or any other agent who is associated with the Competition. 3. Personal data held by us will be dealt with strictly in accordance with HARIBO’s privacy policy available at www.haribo.com. How to enter the Little Apprentices Competition: 4. To enter this Competition you must tell us what you would do if you were the boss of HARIBO for a day. You can tell us in words, by writing a letter or preparing a CV or writing a poem, or by creating a picture or piece of artwork. 5. By submitting your entry: a. You give us permission to publish your entry and use your photograph in any publicity material in any form in connection with the Competition, without us having to make any payment to you. b. If you are a winner, you agree that we may publish your name and the town, city or area in which you live. c. If you are a winner you also agree to participate in any publicity or other promotional activities, in any manner or media, which we may reasonably require in connection with the Competitions. We may not necessarily inform you about the nature of the publicity or other promotional activities for which we may use your photograph, and will not make any payment to you in connection with these. 6. In consideration of HARIBO agreeing to consider a submission into the competition, each entrant hereby assigns to HARIBO all copyright, design rights and any other intellectual property involved with any entry. 7. Each entrant warrants that no entry infringes any intellectual property rights of any third party. 8. The Competition will close on 29th July 2012. Any entries received after this date will not be accepted. 9. The winning entries will be selected from all submissions by a panel comprising HARIBO personnel as well as HARIBO’s PR agency Open Communications as independent panel member. Full names of the panel of judges will be made available on request. 10. The winning entries will be those that, in the judges’ opinion, are of the best quality showing imagination and thought. 11. The winners will be notified by email or by telephone by 10th August 2012. Those entrants who have not been successful will not be notified. 12. We will not accept responsibility for any entries which we do not receive, or for any entries which are lost, delayed or become corrupted during electronic transmission. Even if you have proof that you have submitted an entry, this will not constitute proof of receipt by us. 13. Anonymised information about the winners and the town or city in which they live can be obtained by sending a stamped, self-addressed envelope to us, after the closing date, to the address set out above. What you could win: 14. Ten children will spend the day at the HARIBO factory in Pontefract (“the Prize Day”), making and tasting HARIBO sweets, and taking part in simulated business tasks. 15. Each winner must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or adult relative. 16. The Prize Day will be held on Tuesday 14th August 2011. 17. For each winner and parent/guardian, reasonable travel expenses to Pontefract from within the UK (equivalent to standard return rail fares) will be paid, up to the value of £100. The winners may not be accompanied by more than one parent, guardian or adult relative. Other Information: 18.The prize must be taken as offered. No cash equivalent or alternative prizes are available in whole or in part except as described in these Rules. 19. At any time we reserve the right to postpone the date of the Prize Day or cancel it and make arrangements for a substitute prize at our discretion. 20. Prior to Prize Day we require the winners and their accompanying adults to complete a medical questionnaire. In order to safeguard all participants we require some specific medical information to ensure that certain hazards that are intrinsic to the HARIBO factory will have no impact on the health and safety of the participants. Such hazards might include noise and substances which could affect your breathing or your skin. The contents of the medical questionnaires will only be seen by HARIBO’s occupational health personnel and will be treated confidentially and in accordance with HARIBO’s privacy policy www.haribo.com/planet/uk/impressum/impressum.html. We reserve the right to refuse access to the factory to any participant who, for health and safety reasons, is not permitted to participate in Prize Day or enter the factory. We reserve the right to allocate a substitute prize at our discretion in such an event. 21. As the day will involve a tour of our factory we require that everyone wears sturdy footwear (i.e. shoes/ trainers / flat boots - no sandals, high heels, flipflops). All participants will be provided with a hair net and a white coat and will be asked to remove all jewellery. We may issue further guidelines prior to Prize Day and we will also provide you with health and safety and other instructions on Prize Day. We reserve the right at our discretion to refuse access to and/or remove from the factory any participant who does not comply with these guidelines and/or instructions. In this event, no substitute prize will be made available. 22. If any winner is unable for any reason to accept their prize, or we are not able to contact a winner within two weeks of them being drawn, we reserve the right to award the prize to another participant of the Competition. 23. All decisions made by us are final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome of the Competition.
