RBS playing games?

Hi everyone, today I've received a letter from rbs telling me my ppi claim has been refused as they have no record of ppi being paid on my mortgage........ Obviously i have the paperwork to prove i did pay ppi. So do I go back to them or go straight to the ombudsman?

How can they have no record of these payments?

Not unusual. MPPI is typically a standalone product and not directly linked to that mortgage provider and not typically included with the mortgage.

Did they provide the advice on MPPI or did a mortgage broker or did you buy it via a third party?

Remember that MPPI has far fewer complaints and a much lower success rate than loan and credit card PPI. So, your complaint reasons typically have to be much stronger to be successful.
