Hi...trying to move our 2 PCs to a room with no BT socket, so seems sensible to go wireless. Already have BT wireless ADSL router because of using laptop and PCs are wired into this router at the moment. Think I have to buy PCI cards for both PCs (networked together), but confused already!
How do I know what to get? The cheapest seem to be 54mbps, but I think our speed is 100mbps. Is it just downloading that will slow down? What does the difference in price get you?
We have AVG running too...read somewhere that you have to take off anti-virus and firewalls with routers. Is that right?
Hope someome can help

Ok....thanks for that!
Any difference then between dongle or PCi card? What does the 54 mean then?
Sorry, very un-techie

also usb dongles can be attached to a cable (belkin have one that comes with a cable and dock (£20 from argos iirc)), it's good because you have a bit of freedom to put the pc where there isn't perfect reception and move the dongle to where it works.0
