We have experienced the same problems as many on the forum in getting a wedding dress from Jen Jen.Fortunately we paid the whole amount by credit card although it goes through PayPal.Our Credit Card bank have invoked a chargeback process and have indicated that we should be reimbursed within 4 weeks. For those who are unfamiliar with the chargeback process it is covered on the MoneySavingExpert site.We hope
that others may be able to recover their money by this route.
Our credit card was credited with full the amount in early November after we sent a letter from a dressmaker (at a cost of £20) confirming that the dress was not 'fit for purpose' (measurements wrong etc).We were advised that Jen Jen had 45 days to challenge the chargeback ,which happened to be Christmas Day.We assume that they did not challenge as there has not been any further communication.
At the time of this update we are awaiting a form from the carrier to avoid paying the import VAT that was passed on to us.
pitkin2020 must have misinterpreted this(initial) post as the total amount was paid to Jen Jen on our Mastercard not from our Paypal account.Had it been from the Paypal account partly or in total then it would have been much less likely that we would have recovered the money.Visa, Mastercard and American Express all have chargeback procedures so we don't think they were doing us a huge favour .However the customer services people were very helpful throughout the process.
  • Don't buy any dress from this place.
I ordered a dress from this web, first of all, they missed the deadline, secondly the dress is absolutely not like the picture, and, they changed the picture on their web. After they made this dress, So, I actually got this prototype they made and it is awful.
I asked for return and refund, but in order to contact them, the phone # is not working, the only way is open the ticket in their web, but they deleted it and ignore me.
    Frustration!!!! is all I got.
Someone has to stop them cheating on people. I hope I did search on the web about their review before I order it, there are so many angry customers, I don’t know about the good reviews, it looks suspicious.
I have NEVER had experience like this, I can’t believe how they can still be around.

Your credit card company are doing you a huge favour as they have no reason to invoke a chargeback. As stated on MSE,
When you buy through third parties. Travel agents, Paypal, group buying sites, etc.
You're unlikely to be covered when payments are made to a company that isn't the one providing you with the product or service. In these cases, the credit card company usually says it didn't have a direct relationship with the supplier, so isn't equally liable.

Seems funny that most of these chinese companies are using paypal as they can so easily hide behind paypals "protection" rather than the protection offered by credit cards through section 75

Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.

I have already heard about the said shop. That is why my sister just decided to go for Bridesire.com shop in which they were already trusted from us since my cousins always get their dresses from them.Since they got good designs and nice collections.
me, I am now choosing one to wear as a bridesmaid and I am undecided to what will be nice for me, since all of their dresses were really beautiful from this collection:

Some reviews on here, not good - http://www.mrs2be.ie/wedding-forum/beauty-fashion/jenjenhouse-t16754-10.html

Also looking at their facebook page there seem to be several complaints/unhappy customers.
  • Hi!
I just had to write to you all to warn you about jenjenhouse,
Also I would like to get in contact with perhaps a solicitor to help me solve this dispute.

JenJen House sent me a completely different dress than what I ordered. They admitted to their mistake but are not following their return policy where they say they will give you a full refund. Also just got a tull invoice, and nowhere on the website are there information about this.
I do not know everything sbout China law but someone must know what I can do?

I chose them because I cannot afford a dress for 100-1000 pounds. Now ut seems I have reached 150 and the dress is unwearable....
  • Be aware!!!!
They are operating under other company names aswell!!!!
    For example clothesonline-uk.com

noticed the layout was the same! Also +86 is not a uk number.....

This site isTERRIBLE!!! I ordered a sheath dress (017016336), ended up paying $200 for it(that includes the $20 shipping and handling) and when my dress came I HATEDit!! The sizing was fine but the quality of the dress was so bulky, heavy and cheap feeling. It was certainly not $200 quality. The embellishments on the dress did not look at all like the photo (very cheap) and the thread popped in certain places. The split on the dress was noticeably uneven. I contacted them to complain and ask for a refund (since the website said that they don't do refunds for sizing and this was not a sizing issue). They gave me the runaround, told me to get the dress fixed by a tailor and I had to keep emailing them back with more complaints to justify my refund request. Why should I pay money for a dress and then have to take it to a tailor for major alterations?? They wanted to offer me 15% as a refund, REALLY?!?! I had to eventually work up to 40% and then they basically told me that if I didn't accept that I could send the dress back for a full refund BUT their quality control would determine if the dress was refundable and if not I'd be out of a dress and money. Their QC department cleared a poor quality dress in the first place. Everyone who contacted me either had the last name WANG or SUN...I will NEVER EVER EVER EVER purchase anything from them again and I advise you to do the same. This was a complete hassle and scam and I buy things online frequently.:mad::mad:
