Arnold Clark Car Finance

Hi, this is my first post and I am after some advice relating to a car I bought on finance in 2004. I was 18 at the time and a student and bought the car via Arnold Clark. I didn't have a full time job at the time and a couple of years later I struggled to keep up with the payments and was also miss sold PPI on the car.
Not only was I struggling with the payments but I was being charged on the payments I missed which started to be quite expensive.
To cut a long story short I have lost all the relevant information regarding the finance I took out with Arnold Clark and need some advice on how I go about trying to claim back the miss sold PPI and whether I have a viable case for claiming the PPI back?
