Tracing paid up loans

Hi
In the late 90's and early 2000 I took out loans with HFC and Vauxhall finance and I'm sure we were strongly recommended to take out PPI. I would like to see if I can claim this back but as the loans have long since been repaid I don't have any paperwork so I can't quote account numbers, exact dates etc. Is there any way that I can find out the details of loans I have taken out in the past?
Thank you

Without any paperwork or documentation of your own it will prove difficult These loans are well past six years old and will not be easy to trace.
You can do SAR requests to the lenders in question, but it will cost £10 each time. The Subject Access Request should reveal everything the Bank has on record for you for the past six years or (sometimes) longer. Only you can decide if this is a worthwhile gamble
