Suggestions please- where to go??

5 people, 2 adults, 13, 11, 8yrolds.

Fairly tight budget, but will stretch if totally amazing holiday of a lifetime type thing.

Have to go in august (schools).

Likes relaxing/fun/moderate heat/culture/food- kids eat well and are quite adventurous, we don't need chips and burgers. Fairly independent travelers. Don't need constantly to be "organised " etc

Dislikes- huge miles of static vans, noise/disco/"entertainments".

Where shall we go?? I am very aware hat I have an "inconvenient" number of children!!

If in the UK we can camp (we have a wonderful folding camper) but kind of feel we have "done " most places in the UK to a degree.

Last year we had 2 gites in france- suprisingly reasonable, even drove to toulouse, but gite with lovely pool a little spoilt by very english weather:rotfl:
We have been to France a fair bit over the years.

Let your imagination run riot pls!
Nicola

How about booking a nice villa in Spain direct with owner through https://www.holiday-rentals.co.uk and get cheap flights through a budget airline.

I second the Holland suggestion - the weather might still be a little too close to English, but Holland can be done relatively inexpensively (if prices haven't changed too much in the last few years) and theres a lot to see and do.
