CRB Checks at a Bank?

Ive recently been offered a job at one of the major banks subject to references and checks.
I'm worried that I had a caution 15 years ago for travelling on the trains without a valid ticket. I chose to pay the fine and costs and did not go to court.
My question is, will this show up on CRB checks carried out by the bank?
Thanks

lol sorry but i just had to laugh,

you think not paying for a fare 15yrs ago will stop you getting a job?

my word what has the world come to.

i doubt that will show and even if it did... it's no reason for you not to get it.

I know it sounds amusing but its still a criminal record whether its a minor offence or not

For a bank I imagine they would do more than just a basic check so it will most likely show up. Just be honest is the best advice, the company should take things in consideration like time/offence/remorse etc etc, but then again they may not. That's the whole point of having a criminal record system

It probably wont be on there, most convictions are classed as spent after 6 years or so. I had a caution about eight years ago for criminal damage (stupid teenage drunkenness) I had a CRB done at work about 18 months ago and it wasn't even on their.
i think though even if it is on there you can just explain how stupid you were and i couldn't see it standing against you

Is a caution a criminal offence? You have no record unless oyu went to court?

I have been told and from what research i have done cautions are never spent and can remain on file for life. As for effecting employment I can't see it personally.

Apart from which banks tend to have their own security checks which make a CRB look like a consumer survey.

Used to be the case, but no longer true. Cautions are spent immediately.
