Our eldest is 8 now and I am dreading the costs that are ahead. Football boots used to be bought at car boot sales but now he is getting fussy and his friends have a certain type...... I do go into the shop and tell him his limit - he does moan but what mum says goes. I find they go through so many pairs of shoes it is quite unbelievable. We are lucky in the fact that where we live they have a few discount /catalogue surplus shops which are excellent value - especially when they have sales on.
Then you get to the football coaching, kits etc.
I would have to agree that the older they get the more expensive they become so save the pennies while they are young.

Do you think there is a difference in cost between girls and boys????

£30 for Cot???? you're true a bargain hunter.

Any chance you can send me the details where you bought the Cot and other stuff. Ours is due in July and we haven't bought a single item yet and haven't got a clue what and where to get baby stuff.

    Cheers

    Nats3006.

It's going to be a boy and I would like to take you up on your offer. Can you reply with more description, number of clothes and how much you want for them?

Ikea do cheap cots, high chairs etc

register with your local Freecycle group - there's always baby stuff on offer and as it's free if you don't think you'll use it you just reoffer it...
