I am currently with BT for my home telephones and my ISP for my internet access is UTV. I am considering changing my home telephone to another provider and am interested in broadband also. Talk talk seem quite good. Can anyone else in N Ireland recommend any other cheap providers please? Thanks!

The advice generally is not to move your line rental from BT because the (possible) small saving on line rental is far outweighed by the loss of other available options (e.g. the ability to CPS your calls and/or use 1899, 18185 etc.).

However, if you are considering Talk Talk, please have a read of THIS THREAD before you do anything.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0
