Selling our house that daughter rents advice please

Do you have a mortgage?
If applicable, why not just sell up and buy a different house to rent out to your daugter. You'll still get the rent, and can lower slightly if you see fit, and she still has a home.0 -
The above poster's comments about potential "overcrowding" are irrelevant as she has a formal tenancy which you would be bringing to an end.
Has your daughter looked at any other PRS properties?
I took the op to mean how would her daughter stand with regards to housing if they were all living in the house, hence why I mentioned overcrowding. As opposed to trying to be rehoused due to eviction via S21
Apologies if I misunderstood. If my posts have random wrong words, please blame the damn autocorrect not me

Is it possible that your daughter isn't claiming all the benefits she is entitled to? Many working tenants receive Local Housing Allowance?
Get her to identify the LHA rate on the Direct Gov website and then put her income details into the Turn2us online benefit calculator to check if she is due any tax credits, LHA and so on.
Also, child maintenance doesn't impact any benefits and assuming her ex is in employment, he should be paying around 15% of his income to her. See the CSA website or child support forum on MSE.0 -
She has thought about the option of an other PRS, but thinks she will be able to manage things more if she is in a council place.A s21 is, in effect, a "no fault" notice : a LL does not have to give a reason for serving one and requiring repossession of the property. It is irrelevant whether you would want to live in it yourself or sell it.

I think we will issue the S21 and see how things go from there. Am I right in thinking that it has to be for 2 months?0 -

We think she claims what she is entitled to. At the moment he isn't giving her anything, but she wanted him out of the house as soon as possible as the relationship was over - another story altogether.0
