As I get paid tomorrow I am going to start a money diary as I think it will be quite a shock. I will keep you posted.

Well I haven't started my spending diary yet procrastination is my downfall!!

Have decided to start my spending diary on my next payday and do it over 4 week periods so I can see exactly where my wage goes.

I was bad the other day spent £5 on scratch cards but it turned out good as I won £10! But it could have so easily gone the other way and I would have been £5 down so I must learn!

Also mad at myself for not doing as much ebay listing as I could have but have been so tired from doing extra hours at work.

As always any advice is greatly received.

I have been doing extra hours at work, another 7 a week, for a couple of months now but the powers that be have decided that we have to cut back on hours and as I am not contracted for them I have to lose them. It wasn't loads extra per month but as they say every little helps! I am going to go and see personnel and see what can be done as the extra £154 every 4 weeks would have been very useful.

I was also VERY bad and went shopping and spent £310 in Vivienne Westwood:mad: and that was only on 2 items, a pair of boots and a face cloth! But the worst of it is that I decided the boots were not a great buy as they are difficult to get on and off and I was feeling guilty about the money as £300 could have paid off some debt, however, when I took them back I could only have a credit note even though I had not had them out of the box. So I can now spend that on something more sensible from Vivienne Westood or try to sell it on ebay and try to get some money back.

Also, signed a new phone contract so I could get the new Prada phone so that is now £40 per month but after 3 months I can go onto a lower tariff.

On a money making note I cashed in a winning scratchcard and got £2 with which I unsensibly I bought 2 more scratchcards but off those I won £12 so that was a nice little earner! Also, I think we are getting a bonus with next weeks pay so that is a welcomed fund!

I think you need to start that spending diary....
    Not on payday
    Not next week
    Right now.

And you must promise us all that you will not darken the doorstep of Vivienne Westwood until you are debt free. :rotfl:

    Outgoings

    RENT £410
    COUNCIL TAX £88
    CONTENTS INSURANCE £23
    CAHOOT LOAN £271.60
    MUM LOAN £200
    WATER £15.66
    TV LICENCE £13
    VIRGIN MEDIA £30
    MOBILE £40
MOBILE INSURANCE £9.99 (May cancel this though)
    GAS £20
    ELECTRIC £25
    FOOD £100 (for 2 people)
PET STUFF £25 (food and cleaning stuff for 2 rabbits and 1 kitten)
ISA £250 (holidays, birthdays, Christmas, pay off debt sooner)
    TOTAL £1521.25

    Incomings
    OHs £1175
    ME £550
TOTAL £1725 (sometimes a bit more if I do extra hours)

They have been really cutting back at work so I cannot do any extra hours. However, for the next few weeks due to holidays I will be doing an extra day each week so at least that's something.

I may also start paying my mum a bit extra so I can pay that off sooner.

I do need towork harder on ebay in my spare time though as I still have so much stuff to sell.

On a happier note I am actually quite surprised by how much I have paid of my debts so far, £3393.30!! If I can keep this up I will be debt free by the time I am 30.

As always any advice is greatly received.

I have been doing extra hours at work and it is making me very tired it's not good. The extra money is good but have been finishing quite late so can't be bothered cooking and have been getting take-out which probably defeats the purpose of doing overtime.

On a happy note though my partner has just got a pay raise which works out at about £100 extra per month. :j

I have been doing some calculations and I have worked out that to be debt free by 30, which is 25 payments, I will need to pay £724.15 per month. At the moment I am paying £721.60, if I include the money I pay into my isa, which isn't too far off. I am also aiming to pay off my loan earlier and save on interest.

I am very slowly but surely listing my stuff on ebay and picking up any extra hours, where possible, at work.

Any advice is greatly received as I am sure there is more stuff I could be doing.

What a month and it's not even over!
Both my rabbits unfortunately died. It cost just over £200 to have them treated and then put to sleep. It is just an expense I did not need.

Also, my washer dryer set on fire and now we need to buy another one but the cheapest I can find is £264.99 so if anyone has any ideas where to get them cheaper please let me know as my washing basket is full!!!

This week I have been consistently listing on ebay as my boxes under he stairs are breeding! There must be £100s of pounds just sat there! I just need to remember not to be tempted to buy on ebay!
