Advice please as confused!!!

Having thick moment, but really can't work this phone line switching/moneysaving out.

I have sky tv and broadband and a BT phone line. This doesn't seem to be very cost effective, as BT charge me £14.60 a month and I use the phone once a week if that. I do need it though, as my Mum phones me quite regularly.

Just haven't a clue really.

Line rental is required regardless of whether you make 1 call a week or one thousand, it is also required to use any ADSL broadband service-so no way around that one except to reduce your line rental to £10pm with BT Line Rental Saver.
BT is one of the most expensive providers though, so look for your LLU options by doing a exchange search on www.samknows.com
You can either move your broadband service elsewhere, or transfer all 3 (line rental, calls, and broadband) to another provider.

Sky line rental is £12.25, so you'd make a saving of £28.20pa by switching that from BT.
