ALTON TOWERS tickets, listing removed

I recently listed 2 Sun tickets for alton towers on ebay.
There are absolutely hundreds of pairs of tickets on there, and I know they are non transferable but thought I would give it a whirl.
I wasn't doing it to make loads of money, just wanted to sell mine & buy 2 more on a date I could make.
Anyway I have had them removed, the reason because they are free tickets & non-transferrable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So annoying, has anyone else had this happen?

They can't do everyone at once - so its just wether they get to you.
Make the auction very short or use buy it now - gives Ebay less time to get round to you.
Use a different account if you decide to relist them - as you will may already have a warning logged on your account.
Ebays say they remove tickets for 'all free' events. But these days are not all free - some have to pay on the day.0 -
Thanks,
I only had it on a 1 day auction.
I will try husbands account!!!:money: Martin Lewis Rocks!:money:0 -
If buying & selling these tickets make sure the photo in the listing doesn't show the tickets barcode. The company does go through the ebay listings & void tickets. So you don't know your tickets are voided till you arrive at the theme park, they rip up the tickets & refuse entry unless you pay full price.0

Be careful with your husband's account - if eBay are looking out for and removing these tix, or someone else is, then I'm not sure it's a good idea to risk either your or your husband's account over them.
If they have been removed once it is possible they will be removed again, and there is possibly a reason for that. You should not relist at all - eBay have a right to say what can and cannot be listed on their site and if it gets pulled again, and your accounts are linked, you could both be in for the high jump.
I know it is frustrating but just be aware of the damage you could do, particularly if your husband wants to sell at any time in the future or he sells already."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

I listed some free Chessington tickets once and they were removed within hours because of Vero rights. I think Chessington and Alton Towers are owned by the same Company so it seems they monitor ebay regularly looking to remove items. Perhaps listing on a Saturday afternoon when they're not likely to be working might be best with a lowish BIN price?0

Once you have one listing violation on your dashboard I certainly wouldn't risk another as 2 puts you in the danger zone for selling restrictions.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. As mentioned above if you can see the barcode in the pictures they will cancel the tickets and you wont get entry0
