1 year ago I bought both a black and colour cartridge for my printer which I use very little.

when I inserted the black cartridge the machine stated that it was only 1/3rd full, I contacted the supplier who could not give a T.... and he said my machine is giving an incorrect reading, so no refund or replacement cartridge.

I use the printer so little that I have only just had to insert the colour cartridge replacing the original lexmark, which in this case does state it is a full cartridge.

so off to buy another black cartridge from a reputable supplier.

    Update to this post.

The colour compatible cartridge supplied by this company has only just run out......it has lasted up to 2 years.

I never threw away the black cartridge that they supplied and I complained about in my original post and have only just noticed that there was a lump under the sticker, removal of it showed a drill hole.

I had paid for a compatible cartridge not a refilled one and that is probably why my printer had stated the cartridge was only 1/3rd full and why it ran out so quickly. They probably made a mistake when supplying this and could have believed me and replaced it.
