Whether the police will want to get involved is doubtful, though it is worth taking a leaf out of their book as regards making threats.

What is more effective, is to threaten to sue them for damages. Not only them, but the owner of the car park. They will suddenly become very unpopular if the car park owners find themselves in court as a result of employing the cowboys; so that is probably the most effective course of action.

Consider it as harassment. It is.

If you get another PPC ticket, have a word with your solicitor friend. Send the both the PPC and car park owner (they are "jointly and severally liable" - lovely phrase) a Letter Before Action. This simply says, "Stop it or else ... I will rip your arm off and hit you with the wet end". (OK, I maybe not the last bit. It's tempting, though.)

Then, when the next poison pen letter arrives, sue both the PPC and the car park owner. Actually, the owner is the better target. With luck, it will make them think twice about the PPCs contract.
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)

    Why?

All the letters are baseless in law, and there is a thread showing these templated letters on this very forum, so you can see what letters to expect. Also hundreds of posters on here, have already reported that at the end of these letter chains, the PPC simply goes away.

After you have seen off your tenth charge notice you won't give it a second thought. Remember they send the precise same letters to everyone, hoping some people are going to be mug enough to believe a word they say.

Making it look as if they have some authority is the way they work. In reality they have no more authority than you do.

Why ? Excel are utterly useless and the last time they went to court they lost, and it was picked up yet again by the BBCs Watchdog team, see below video 5 about the fact that excel have ignored a judge recommendations on signage around a car park. Then watch the others about these money making scammers work.

They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

Why? You should just be playing snap with each letter that matches the preview pics in the second to top thread. Easy.

See my signature, on any forum, the thread index is only ever one click away - and the thread you want is 'PPC letters & threats'. You must look if you have missed the rest of the forum and that thread in particular - you will find preview pics of all letters and the best Watchdog clip of all!
