You do have a health check a basic breathing hearing height and weight check all very familiar if you have worked for big company before occupational health and all that and to all the big lads make sure your uniform is a size to big because it shrinks a bit with washing

which section / block do you work in bigden?
it was quite boring loads of waiting around, didnt do much other than fill in more forms, have a couple of presentations, have the health checks, get id passes etc

i got put in a group and been told i have to have my training in solihull but not fussed as i drive. after that im on trim and final working on the XF D Block.

1 thing i noticed though on my tour is that i was expecting everyone working on the line to be rushed off their feet, working quickly etc but the atmosphere was very relaxed. is it usually like this or was this a quiet day?

Im a little annoyed about having to go to solihull for training, although i said i drive, i only live 10 mins away, and about 25 from solihull. I also noticed that about how relaxed everything was. It was much more chilled out and relaxed, I'm on E block ( i think i'l have to double check on the paper) doing B.I.W

Hi guys & girls, i have just found this thread/forum after searching it on google, I done my manual assesment on the 31/08/2012 then the next day was invited to the final interview which i completed on the 06/09/2012

I have had the e-mail saying congratulations on completing all stages now the wait begins, i lost my job last christmas, and then involved in a motorcycle accident where i broke my leg and was unable to look for work for 5 months, so 2012 has sucked for me and i really want this to get my life back on track, i am unemployed and can start straight away with no holidays and i feel the interview went very well.

Does anyone know if you are paid for the 2 weeks training?

im in D block trim and final dont let the relaxed look of the line fool you its not bad but you have to work to your takt time the jobs are not bad but one dropped screw or something not going right your rushing to keep up but all in all its not bad
B.I.W is decent every block has good and bad just dont let the relaxed look fool you did they say why you have to do the training at solihull
