MANNY0121 wow!!! So you cant be sick, late or have an disciplinary within 5 years?
That's not really true. The 5 years Is the maximum on agency. The monitoring period is 12 months(now). If you have 2 absences you will have a counselling. You move on stage 1. If you have an other two you move on stage 2. Etc etc up to stage 5 or 6. They getting rid o people due to attendance. If you have disciplinary you'll go first. Simple as that. Not a hard place to work. On year 1 (70%) take home pay is about £420 on 3 shifts. Overtime rates Saturday (1.5) Sunday (2/3). You'll get a loyalty bonus in November (£400). Rha (you are accumulating 1 hour each week) if you haven't been sick you'll get 52 hour extra in November ( on those week when you been off obviously you don't get anything.) if you have any holidays left they pay em out in January. Hope I answered all your questions.0 -
Any news on when they are taking on the next batch ? Waiting to be called up for my last stage now, they said it would be early 20170

Can't see that happening soon!
They let over 200 go just before Christmas, they needed more heads a few weeks ago and started to call the people they let go to come back!
I would imagine it will be late summer before they need more heads!0 -

Someone I know, who was meant to start in Nov has been told May, which ties in with when we go to two shifts at CB.0 -

No, been there just over 2 years, no lateness, no days off sick, no disciplinary. 100% spotless record and told no chance of a job.0 -
Can anybody tell me if the shift pattern in castle brom will involve nights, if so will it only be certain areas of the plant or the whole plant?
Thanks0 -
It's a joke how they can get away with it. You can work your hardest for the next five years for nothing :-(0

What? You don't get a weekly wage? :rotfl:
Although you now have to do 5 years with Manpower, you are still well paid and get the pay increments that mean that after 3 of 4 years you are on £30,000+ for unskilled manual work, more if you do shifts.
We haven't reached the point of anyone getting to 5 years with Manpower yet, so there is no evidence either way of what will happen then.
At least there is a chance of progression to a full time JLR contract, unlike a lot of places that are permanently agency.0
