  • Working at JLR was my worst choice ever. You literally work to seconds. Can't just have a quick fag brake, if you do that the line stop. On nights you have 3 brakes. 10/15/10 minutes. Get to the smoking area one and a half minute. Smoke a fag quickly 3 min, go to the toilet 3 min and that was it. You can rush back to your place. On the "big" brake you can have two fags, and back in the same. The job what they giving you is not hard, physically not hard. You'll have about a 40-50 second workload and just repeat it all night/day long. Boring as hell. Steps are simple, but monotonous. If the line stops you get the broom and start sweeping up, if it's a big failure get the foam cleaners and clean whatever you can. Still no quick cigi brakes. !!!!!!!!. So if you have a decent job don't leave it just because of the money, or if you have a goal set up in your life that's different. But we are all different someone like to work as a brainless, without challenging things, someone not. It's up to you guys. But if you come and you suffer I did worn you!!! :))) peace
  • Each to their own I suppose but I can't think of many other places I can earn £30,000 plus for putting bits of metal into a robot cell.

Really? Who told you that out of interest?

5 years is the absolute maximum you can be kept on a manpower contract most people i have spoken to get their contracts within a year or 2 on JLR STC after 12 months.
