Hi peeps i had my manual on tuesday for solihull i passed it and have interview next week.

Do they perform a crb check as i have a conviction in 2010 or 2011 cant remember. Do i have to tell them or should i risk not telling?

Also i have not had a interview in years and not looking forward to it!

Regarding the info you have to take with you on this day employment history and 2 personal referees can this just be on a hand written piece of paper or dose it have to be official

Thanks in advance for any advice

I think, if I remember correctly it was a Disclosure Scotland check of some type. Didn't really take that much notice at the time.

Personally I would be totally upfront and honest as if you are not and they find out you will be sacked.

It has been known for someone, a couple of months after starting, when the checks come back, to be marched off site by security.

On the other side I know few people who have quite serious convictions who work there with no problems.

For the referees they just wanted name and address to contact.

ye i get what you are saying but because its been a while 5 years im hoping that conviction is classed as spent now , on the application itself im sure it asks you to name any unspent convictions so hopefully i don't fall in this category.

im basically one step off from securing the job hopefully don't want this to hinder me as i know its a great opportunity fingers crossed mate cheers for the advice much appreciated
  • Anybody got a start date for Wolverhampton yet? Or date for the pre employment session?

I did my pre employment assessment on Friday, but not heard anything yet. Don't expect to as it's the weekend now so will wait till next week to hear anything.

I assume I've got a job, the trainer said you're all here because you've been offered a job with JLR.
  • You should have a start date if you've done the pre-employment. Contact Manpower as sson as possible...
