Just thought Id give you all a heads up on whats expected of you.Before I start id just like to say that I really like my job,the people and most of all the money but at times it can be very frustrating.Sometimes its like being at school,for instance just last week we were told we were only allowed to go to the toilet on our breaks,now I dont have a problem holding my bladder for 2 hours but its the fact that they have said were not allowed to go!Anyway someone contacted the(useless) union and they quickly backtracked on this.Now if you need the toilet you have to ask your Group Leader,who will ring your supervisor,who will then tell your superintendent!All this for a 1 min toilet break.Oh and its very hot on the lines and most of the fans are broken so its a fine line between rehydrating enough but not drinking so much that you need the toilet.Someone recently asked for ne of the fans to be fixed and the super said oh your too hot are you,we will have to find you another job then,then moved him to another line(where there were also no fans!)
Also just yesterday the superintendent threw peoples dinners in the bin when they were lined up to go in the microwave!Thats someones food for the rest of the day and he just binned it!!if it had if been mine I doubt i would still have a job today!But there is nothing you can do because if you complain you become a marked man and they will find someway to get you out.
Anyway if you can put up with being treated like a child and having no rights in the workplace(even those rights you think you should have,trust me in this place you dont)and can keep your head down and just get on with your work then its a good job haha

Think you should have a word with your PAM mate your PL shouldn't be doing things like that. Out of interest where are you based ?

If your GL is okay you can get cover quite easy to go for the toilet/fag

Im in halewood mate.Im still manpower so Im not going to say anything to anyone!Cover for a fag??hahaha can just imagine their faces if someone asked to go for a smoke outside of breaks!!!oh and my GL was told he must report any toilet breaks,and they all will because they are scared of both line manager and superintendent

Any one been for the pre assesment yet and know what it involves? Also does it take 2 hours like they say? Thanks
