Nationwide Select Credit Card

Hi

I know that Nationwide Select Credit Card does not charge when making purchases overseas but can anyone advise if it can be used to withdraw money when abroad and if so is it an expensive way of doing so?

Thanks
Val :)

I am not sure about abroad Rockman but if you were to withdraw money from your select card here it will cost you 2.5% of the amount withdrawn on each cash advance. Where you are going to get stung is the 27.9% rate they charge you on cash advances if you do not pay the full amount back when your next statement comes...

The best way to withdraw cash abroad is by using Halifax Clarity Credit card & repay the amount you withdrew at ATMs as soon as you are back home, or you can set it for online transactions & transfer from your current a/c to Clarity card every time you make a cash withdrawl to minimise charges.

In USA, most ATMs charge $1 -$3 per withdrawl, this is charged by the US banks, so if the charge was $1 & you withdraw $100, it will show as $101 has been cashed at the ATM.
