nice jams and marmalade

One thing I do spend on is jam and marmlade. I'm sucker for frank coopers mrmdes. However, I am now trying to cut my budget due to being perma skint and was wondering what jams/marmalades people reccommend?
Preferably under £1.
Thanks in advance :)

I don't buy jam any more but when I did I always got Lidl's Maribel brand. The blackcurrant flavour in particular was luscious. According to this website their jams sell for around 89p.

Citrus fruits don't agree with me so I haven't eaten marmalade for donkeys years.

Been making my own in the microwave mostly when time allows, but if I need it I also use that Lidl jam, very fruity jam that! :)

I make my own. Been doing this for years. Buy sugar through year when cheap then pick fruit in autumn. Damsons, plums, apples, blackberries - all free if you just look in woods near you. Lovely cheap jam for next year. Start keeping your jars now ready. Know this does not help now, but will next year.

Another vote for Lidl's Maribel jam - the strawberrry one is delicious.
This is marketed as Extra jam as it has 50% fruit content.
  • I like the Aldi conserve - 99p - it comes in a jar just like the Bonne Maman jams and IMO tastes just as nice.

Ocado are doing three for 2 on all jams at the moment.

Aldi's mamalade is lovely. Just had the lemon and it was 65p
  • Another vote for Lidl - the raspberry variety is probably the nicest I have tasted.

Aldi's jam is lovely, the raspberry jam tastes almost as good as my mum's homemade one.

I also make my own, but when we have run out Lidl is my first choice. It's the only strawberry jam that my ultra fussy jam loving 6 year old will eat.
