cant get the source code anymore

hi please be gentle with me (im realy slow at this)

im playing weffriddles and he often hides the clues in the source code
i know how to get to the source code view source and ive done it with no probs quite a few times before but its not working now even the bar at the bottom isnt coming up(in the blue bit)

im realy slow with computors and need advise step by step(cuz i sometimes dont know which bit is which) on how to sort this out

ive tried deleting cookies and im running windows xp professional on a built up machine

is there anything else you need to know?? before you can help me

at the mo all yahoo sites are blocked(they were annoying my administrator but he's busy at the mo) it is a shared network

ive managed to get a copy of the source(from another friend) but i dont want to have to ask each time i get past a level for a copy of the source i would like to fix the problem if thats possible

What happens when you click Page and choose view source or right click and view source?

If it's Internet Explorer 7 then click the "page" drop down menu (on right hand side of screen) and click "view source".

If it's Firefox then go the "view" menu then select "page source".

im on the web page and i go to the top where file edit view are highlight view and then click on source and absolutly nothing happens( no extra box no extra bit in the bottom blue bit(cant remember the name for it))

before(when it was working) another page(cant remember what type think it was word) would come up showing the source code(thats where he hides the hints for the levels)

Try right clicking on a blank part of the page and choosing to view the source, also have you tried saving the file and opening with notepad?

i dont know if its IE7 cant find a 'page' menu
i have file edit view fav tools help no others on that line
back forward stop refresh home serch fav hist mail print edit with notepad messenger no more on that line

You could also try clicking on tools then internet options then clicking on the programs tab and seeing what your html editor is set to

clicking blank didnt work but opening in notepad worked wonders thanks so much :j :T

its blank what should it be set to
there is only one choice of notepad is that my problem:D and hopeful answer???
