Find a product that is cheap to source, that very few others are selling, offers value to the customer and is in demand regardless of economic conditions.

    Easy.

If you think that somebody who has worked hard to identify, source and market that product will just tell you so that you can share/steal their customers, and erode their income, then that's the hard bit.

    Most people wouldn't even ask.

I know quite a few sellers on ebay, both business and private ones, and they all say it's very quiet there now. The business sellers are selling elsewhere now - ebay apparently give them a rough time and are very unfair - and they're just not making enough money to make the whole thing worth it.

They all sell different items to each other too. So it seems to be across the board.

Exactly where are these sellers selling then if not on ebay?

I haven't been able to log in here for over a day due to the amount of sales I have- and I know Id never get everything packed and despatched and my next lot listed if I logged in and wasted time chatting.

I do sell elsewhere and despite near record sales these past few days I have sold nothing at all on any other venue or site.

I really do think it all depends on what yiou choose to sell, I also know of some people who rigidly stuck to selling the same goods over and over again- even when the market died. I fully accept my niche market will almost certainly be dead by the end of next month- at which point i'll be out there searching for new lines as well.

hot cornish pastries - vat free!
  • Without a doubt the best items that you can sell on ebay are Brass Teacakes. Put a little sugar on top and a bell or two on the side - lovely!
  • Would you like me to give you the name and address of the suppliers that I use?
They are very very cheap and I get a really good mark up on them....every item is in high demand too. You cant really go wrong with them. Light weight, easy to pack and post. Excellent!

Its taken me several years of market research, a loss of great amounts of money from trial and error and I have a few grey hairs from stressing about it all but finally I have reached the postion of being able to virtually sit back and let the pennies roll in, so just let me know eh and I will happily hand you all the information you need to be in competition with me.

If you could copy me into that it'd be much appreciated :D
I'm not bad at golf, I just get better value for money when I take more shots!
