Thought I would update this, I had been sending out speculative CV's to employers, I sent one to a particular company a supplier infact, the MD of that company happened to be having a meeting with this guy when my CV arrived, he passed it on to this guy which is how he found me. So it shows that sending out speculative CV's to actually make it past the receptionist at least and have a bit of a success rate.0

and the guy he gave it to works for the company? If he from another company then I think he shouldn't have passed the CV on as you haven't gave them permission to do so.Thought I would update this, I had been sending out speculative CV's to employers, I sent one to a particular company a supplier infact, the MD of that company happened to be having a meeting with this guy when my CV arrived, he passed it on to this guy which is how he found me. Sorry to be negative but if anything it shows they can be passed on to dodgy people with no regard for data protection. I would not be happy about a CV being shared outside the company I sent it to, in case it fell into the wrong hands as it did here.0
