1st Anniversary Gift Ideas

Ok, so it's coming up to a year since we first met and I'd like to get my GF something nice. I'm looking for something that isn't necessarily expensive, but thoughtful and personal to the 2 of us. Any ideas, or examples of anniversary gifts you've given or received in the past?

Thanks!

Not sure how a bunch of stranger son the internet would know what was personal to the 2 of you better than you do....

However for our 'paper' first wedding anniversay my husband bought me a vintage apron pattern and i got him a pinball flyer - though I doubt thats much use to you?

  • Take a look at a site called Yourhamper.com. You can create your own hampers and gift boxes at whatever budget you have. It makes great personal gifts because you can print your own design/photo on the lid and add a personal message. Also because you get to choose the contents from the start you can add it with things you know your partner will enjoy! Good Luck!

    My now husband forgot!

So just remembering would be ideal in my case.

Although he did give me the best present of all, for nearly ten years I've been able to wheel out 'well at least I remembered our first anniversary' every time I've forgotten something!

I am obviously joking but it is quite funny.

You could get her a nice photo album from Paperchase or similar and fill it with photos of the two of you and places you've been. We all keep our photos on our phones or computers nowadays but it's lovely to have them in an album to flick through and show people. It won't cost a fortune, but will take a bit of effort which I bet she will appreciate! :)
