Tesco Extra Clubcard Points - Misrepresentations and breaches of contract

Hello all,
Just a warning whenever thinking of signing up for a Tesco service or deal based on extra clubcard points.
On more than one occasion I have found these points are not added. It can be very difficult to spot, because points are only added once every 3 months and are not itemised.
Their most recent misrepresentation involved offering 1000 points for signing up to their shockingly poor TescoInternetPhone service and crediting an account with £10 (as an aside, I debate its fitness for purpose).
Points were meant to be credited in October, and searching the internet, it is obvious that many many people failed to get their points, but the promise was that this would be remedied by the next clubcard statement.
Fearing the worst, I wrote to them / called them, at least 5 times (trying to get through to the right department, being hung up on by arrogant customer service "managers") and finally received an email assurance that the poits would be credited. I queried this, as the points were not showing up on my till receipts, and they re-affirmed they would be credited.
Well, surprise surprise, I get my clubcard statement and still no points. It is almost 5 months since I fulfilled my side of the contract.
Can anyone advise what my next steps are? I see two possiiblities which I will suggest to Tesco.
1. Contact Trading Standards
2. Issue a small claim for the value of the clubcard deals (£40) via moneyclaim.gov.uk. I understand that normally Legal & Corporate Affairs should be the Respondent, but is this also true of TescoInternetPhone?

It seems that a few people have been ripped off in this manner.
Does anyone have a PDF of the court form I need to fill in? I find the court service website difficult to navigate for this. I want to fill the form in and send it to Tesco's legal department or Leahy as a warning shot, before pursuing action.0 -
I have also taken the same action in the past over wine points they didn't credit. Unfortunately this is a company who repeatedly ignores you and fobs you off, so court action is the only way of getting the points you are owed.
You are spot on in claiming 4 times the value as that is what they led you to believe the points were worth (Clubcard Deals).
When I sued, they immediately settled my claim in full and paid the court fee, but my earlier warnings of legal action were ignored.
Here is the PDF you require:
http://www.hmcourts-service.gov.uk/courtfinder/forms/n1_0102.pdf
Found this on the Tesco internet phone website:The Tesco internet phones site is owned and operated by Tesco Stores Limited, trading as Tesco Telecoms, a company registered in England whose registered office is at:
Tesco House
Delamare Road
Cheshunt
Hertfordshire
EN8 9SL
Therefore you should sue Tesco Stores Limited at the above address.0 -

Many, many thanks. I also got a Newport address for Tesco Internet Phone normal operations, but people have reported similar problems with other Tesco offshoots so it somehow didn't feel right pursuing Tesco anywhere other than the head office.
I will probably write a "strictly private and confidential" letter to Leahy first, enclosing my completed (but unsubmitted) court form and giving him 14 days to respond.
Apologies, I think you yourself have pointed me in this direction once before, but for some reason I could not find your post when searching these forums, so I had to ask again.
I don't bother with Tesco promotions as an incentive any more. As a company they are not to be trusted with delivering on their promises, and they do not care enough to even attempt to rectify their trading standards offences.
All the hallmarks of a bullying organisation, who think they can fob you off until you give up out of sheer exhaustion.
I'm horrified by how many people have spent money on a poor quality VOIP service (as far as I know, numbers can't be reached from some switchboards, from some other VOIP networks, and the slightest internet connection glitch means your free incoming call number logs itself off, and does nothing to warn you, leaving it up to you to log back on. Not fit for purpose. sipgate and x-lite handle internet connection glitches seamlessly, logging back on at the first opportunity).
These people were thinking that at least they have got some clubcard points, without realising they have been ripped off.0
