We use a Tecknika set we bought from Tesco, about £25. Now we also have wireless internet and have no problems with it at all, othre people slated it. Buy it and see, if you dont get on with it take it back and get your money back....

I've dabbled with a few of these over the years.

Didn't find any that worked properly, choppy picture, awful sound (if any).

The last one I had was okay if the receiving unit was on the same level as the transmitter, but it wouldn't go upstairs.

Also, although it says wireless, there are loads of wires with remote sensors which need sticking all over your tv,dvd, cable etc. Hardly wirefree!!

I can't remember the model I last used but they looked very similar to these.
I messed for a few hours but gave up and took them back to Dixons

    My opinion..... Waste of money
  • I agree with startrekker - same one from Tesco works really well - no problems at all...
  • I set one of these up for my Mum as she had a really poor picture on the TV in her bedroom as she was working off a crappy internal aerial.

This thing transmits the pic onto the AV1 setting on her telly and it is a fantastic picture.

Only problem is that she can't change the channel. She has to watch whatever channel the TV in the other room is set to.. Not a problem for her though as she only watches it for a little while untils she conks out!
  • got one last week from currys, One For All TV/AV sender, £50ish, easy enough to set up, works perfectly, sends a very clear picture from my sky box downstairs to my bedroom upstairs, and can use the remote upstairs to change channel. no interference from wireless phones or anything else so far :D

The first gave up after about 5 years, but its a good picture with a remote function. The microwave is the only thing that upsets the picture.
