KGB Deals Refund

Hi all

I am looking for people who have experience dealing with KGB in the past. Basically I bought a voucher for a dental consultation in Jan 2012, clearly on the voucher it says it expires in July 2012, but everytime I call the dental clinic, they say there busy and will call me back but never do. I eventually went to their website and filled out an enquiry form and they are now telling me that the voucher is no longer accepted and I have to get in touch with KGB for a refund.
Are businesses allowed to do this??
I also didn't realize til now that KGB don't even have a phone number!!

I have filled out their online enquiry form to get a refund but now Im reading loads of bad feedback about their customers service. Im just wondering if anyone has been in touch with them before and got a refund??
What are my rights on this? any comments/advice is appreciated or even a customer service phone number :o

I've never had problems getting a refund although most deals have worked out fine
    There will always be:
A “LIE” in BELIEVE, an “OVER” in LOVER, an “END” in FRIEND, an “US” in TRUST , and an “IF” in LIFE ;)

  • I bought two items which I did not receive. There was no reply to emails. The customer service number goes straight to a voicemail message which said the mailbox was full.

Thankfully I paid with paypal so I startes a dispute, KGB declined to answer so I received a refund after the time limit had expired.

The thing is they had an interest free loan from me for 45 days is this just a scam to save interest on their overdraft?

Multiply my £55 by say 100,000 and that would cut a sizeable lump off their overdraft.

How many transactions like this are there in the system?

  • I bought a deal with London Academy of Art. The guy from it took ages to get back to me, but did eventually and I set up date to meet him. It was a long trip only to find that the address on the voucher was invalid and there was no KGB customer service telephone number to call. They insist that only the Merchant can refund me: like didn't I pay THEM?!!
    To whom can I complain?

I am also having trouble getting a refund. I tried to book a hair appointment and got onto the wrong footing with the salon as I tried to enquire about the type of cut I wanted and was told to go elsewhere. The phone number 08000 118 012 is always busy and cuts off telling you to go onto the website. They have a seven day refund policy but if the salon doesn't let you book what do you do then. Wahanda and Groupon have great customer care.
  • I have been buying from KGBDeals for about 2 years and have had lots of refunds from them without much trouble. Their customer service is pretty good on the whole. However, it seems some people do have problems with KGB but there aren't many firms out there who are 100% problem free.

Often the problem is that many of the merchants are small businesses who cannot cope with the demand generated by the offer; they don't have the staff to suddenly deal with lots of customers. Most of my refunds were obtained because of this.

I have always been refunded by KGB, never by the merchant, which demonstrates to me that KGB accept responsibilty for amking refunds. You bought from KGB so they refund you; you have no direct contract with merchants, only with KGB, but I have not checked KGB terms on this.

On the original post, I think your rights are to a refund on the basis that the deal was not honoured by the merchant. There is such a category in the list of problems you can choose from as a heading for your complaint on KGB's website.

On Andrew-Hilton's sofa deal, if you think that's good, I received a KGB e-mail today for a corner- sofa for £249 which is £1999 on the merchant's website!! Seems unbelievable.
