Hi,
Does anyone know of a decent free software i can download to allow me to merge jpeg files together.
The situation is this : i need to have a hybrid view of my area with street names, I've taken screen shots from Google maps trimmed off the crap but need to merge them together as one if possible. i know Photoshop does this but its a bit pricey for a one off application
Any help would be great.
Thanks

I use MS Paint.
Set the Attributes to be HUGE and then open the picture which will be top left. Then use Edit > Paste From to add the others, lining up as you go along.
A bit fiddly, but it works.0 -
How do i set the attributes to huge?0

You could copy and paste them into powerpoint presentation (publisher will work too but is more tricky) you can crop / stretch or shrink until you get them all the size and position you need then group them together (ctrl and A right click and group) then you can save as a jpeg (again right clock and "save picture as"0

Try Paint.NET (not the same as MS Paint) http://www.getpaint.net/0

If you've left a little bit of overlap on your screen grabs, you won't do better for free than using Autostitch which is almost as good as Photoshop for this particular application.

Don't be put off by the "Demo" talk - it's fully functional.I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.
But, if the white runs out, I'll drink the red.0 -
Microsoft Image Composite Editor makes great panoramic pics, and it's free http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/um/redmond/groups/ivm/ice/0
