Recommend a Bank Account

My Partner and I are moving into rented accommodation together next month and are of the opinion that we need a joint account that we can both transfer a set amount into every month. All the associated household bills will come from this account, and nothing else. We both have seperate current accounts for our day to day stuff such as salaries etc. We both work and have ok credit scores, and will be paying £500 each into this account every month.
My question is what type of account should we be looking for? I like the idea of Halifax's current offer (£5 per month for a grand paid in) but not sure if there are any better options out there? Thanks
