Sensitive Data

Hi,

I am selling my old laptop on Ebay as the HDD was faulty. I have removed the HDD and am selling the laptop without it. Am I correct in thinking that there will be no more personal data i.e Bank Account details / Pictures etc left on the Laptop as all of it was on the HD.

Thanks in advance
Michael

If you destroy the disk then all data is off the system

yes the hard disc is the only place that could store the data. Unless you also give away a usb flash drive or something.
  • you could always buy a new HD if you still want to use it, they are only £30 or so nowadays.
Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time?
  • Thanks for all your help
