Morning all,
My boss at work, who is excellent with money, has made a mess for the first time with a Barclays Current Account.
He has gone overdrawn by approx £600 for 24 hours within the reserve limit of £1,000 on the account, and as such has been charged £24. He tells me he has had this account for 25 years and never been overdrawn before.
I have suggested he rings them up and tells them his error, first offence, very sorry etc.,
What do people think the chances are of a refund and does anyone have any experience of successfully getting a refund.

Should have been charged £22 if it was a reserve rather than unauthorised overdraft, if it was the latter then there is both a monthly fee and per transaction fee.
They can try and appeal to the banks better nature but unless there is any matter of fault on the banks behalf it is fairly unlikely they will waive it despite the history unless he does truly have a personal RM (several of their accounts promise them but yet to find anyone who truly has one)0
