Egg CC - delays
rega
Hi, wonder if anyone can help (newbie here), have lurked for a while AFTER I stupidly went and signed up with a Claims Company (I know......). However, after a successful claim with Lloyds I have been rejected by MBNA and Cap 1 and am waiting for resolution from Egg, claim went in end Nov and still waiting, has anyone else had dealings with Barclay/Egg Credit Cards?
Many thanks

There have been a number of posts on Egg. Most common seems to be the issues with those that closed their Egg accounts prior to Barclays buying the book. Barclays were not supplied documentation on closed accounts. So, they typically reject complaints due to lack of evidence.

Thanks for the reply, I phoned yesterday and was told that they had received my original application from Egg but that it was taking much longer than the 8/12 weeks, was wondering if anyone was experiencing similar delays - funny though how they have managed to find my details (took the card out 1999)0

Nearly across the board with most providers. Quite normal at the moment. Not desirable but there is a backlog.funny though how they have managed to find my details (took the card out 1999)
They may have account number details but they may not have any documents relating to the sale of the card and may not have any copy statements.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Thanks again, just a waiting game I guess, not holding out much hope as it was an online application0

Just to say I'm also waiting for Egg.
I did get a letter a while ago saying that I could expect a response by 16th March, but nothing thus far.
I just assume that they must be very busy at the moment and I'll just have to sit and wait.0 -
