My car arlarm kept going off at night for 'no' reason.
Then I found a damn great moth that only came out at night !!!
Squashed it.........no more arlarm going off.
  • On my Mondeo it was a faulty bonnet switch.

Same thing happened to my 2002 BMW 330D.
...I disconnected the sensor as a temporary fix.

Okay, so last 2 nights I have locked the car so the interior alarm isnt activated. Result! No alarm going off during the night.
So, my question is: I presume the garage won't be able to do anything? Or is there anyway they can desensitise it? Or, do I just need to get used to manually locking car at nights?
    Thanks

Well, that's what i'd do.... I mean who's gonna try to nick a 2005 plate Civic?

But you've not explained whether you simply locked the car manually? OR whether you turned off the interior sensors?

By locking the car manually it turns off interior alarm. There is no separate switch to do this...
