Are you not covered for Liability on your home insurance0
-
Hi thanks for your reply. We are not covered for liability. Hence why we are footing the bill and costs ourselves. Thus I don't know if this needs to be disclosed as we are not claiming anything on insurance.0

Did you not have insurance at the time of the incident0
-
We did have insurance0

Not having liability cover is unusual.
In that case it depends on how the question the Insurers are asking with regards to claims.
Could you copy and paste the exact wording of the Insurers you are looking at0 -
The definition of the disclosure question is along these lines (taken from direct line):You must tell us about any claims or losses you, and any adult living with you has suffered in the last x years – whether insured or not.
You do need to disclose your loss.0 -

Here is the relevant bit that means you need to disclose your incident:
Under the conditions of your policy you must tell us about any
insurance-related incidents (such as fire, water damage, theft or an accident) whether or not they give rise to a claim0 -
Thank you for clalifying.0
