Chugging noise when turning right.
Hi
7 year old skoda fabia, 49000 miles on it. Recently had a new clutch but otherwise no problems.
It's started making a chugging noise when I'm going round roundabouts. No other sounds and it's not particularly loud - a bit like a bus sitting idling.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Just because it says so in the Mail, doesn't make it true.

Checked the oil recently?
If low, when you take a corner it'll all slosh over to one side and you'll briefly have no oil to suck into the oil pump and it'll be rather rough for a few seconds. Continue with this and the repair will be expensive, if not impossible.
Also, if your one of these folk who keep the bare minimum of fuel in the tank, a similar thing can happen and the fuel pump runs dry for a few seconds when the fuel sloshes over to the side of the fuel tank.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

As above, if it's proportional to road speed (i.e. bigger faster roundabout = faster chugging) then it's most likely a CV joint, probably the left one but get a garage to diagnose. It could also be a wheel bearing. both need attention sooner rather than later as they can fail badly and cause additional expense if ignored (think wheel coming off).0

Thank you. There's some slight wear on the cv joint but not enough to consider changing it yet, apparently. I never run the car on low oil and it reminds me when I need petrol, fortunately!Just because it says so in the Mail, doesn't make it true.
