Mine workers pension scheme

My mother was widowed last year and has been claiming bereavement allowance. She has since had a £20,000 lump sum from the mineworks pension scheme for my father and will be receiving £2.05 a week also. The bereavement allowance will end soon and she will go on ESA for a few months before she goes on pension. Does anyone know how this lump sum will effect her benefits?

You seem to be confident she will go onto ESA, its not as easy as that. Does she have a disability and do yo mind if I ask how old she is.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
