A little help please

Hi, I had a loan with Barclays in 2005. It was paid off in 2009, I don't have any paperwork for the loan but I'm sure I had PPI, anyway I sent them the letter off this forum requesting my loan agreement around 2 weeks ago. Today I had a reply that says "Our systems show that there is no sum payable under the credit agreement and therefor there is no requirement for us to comply with your request". What do they mean by this an what's my next step to take now? Thanks for any help you can provide

    Hi Aidy06,
It basically means that as the loan is finished they do not have to supply you with what you are asking for. This is correct, what you could do is SAR them and they have to supply you with all they hold on record within 40 days. A SAR cost £10 and there is a template letter here

It's not guaranteed to show everything but hopefully you will get the account number, which is all you need. You do not need the credit agreement, as you are sure you had PPI ;)
    Successes
    Sainsbury's/BOS £6,400 Paid :)
    MBNA £3,600 Paid :)
