    I haven't heard of this happening before i'm shocked that Travelodge would risk losing more custom over the sake of £100...

    Reminds me of a programme I saw yesterday, an owner of a hotel phoned a customer over some damage to a sheet caused by Lucozade, the customer posted reviews about her treatment and wrongly exaggeratted the state of the hotel...
    The reviews cost a lot of money in lost revenue and now closed, all over a sheet...

    Perhaps the hotels should allow for some damage to begin with after all so many people stay in one room...
    I always take the moral high ground, it's lovely up here...

    I though the biggest Travelodge room was for four people ?

    I agree, ignore any letters etc. Don't put anything in writing and wait for any kind of Court action (which I highly doubt will arrive). Never put your 'defence' in writing prior to a Court action, threatened or otherwise.
